Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Energy Psychology
EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique, utilizes tapping or pressure along energy pathways (Meridians) on the body. Tapping on specific locations along the hands, head and torso while focusing mentally and emotionally on an issue, can transform it. Negative or charged emotions can block our energy pathways. EFT, along with positive affirmations, pushes through these blocks and restores the flow of the body’s energy so necessary for mental and physical well being. EFT uses Acupressure with elements of Cognitive Therapy and Exposure Therapy in a way that keeps client’s from reliving the situation or becoming emotional caught in memory. It can rapidly bring balance by reducing the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress. It is highly effective in transforming our relationships to fear, trauma, PTSD, anger, depression, pain, performance anxiety, addiction, and self worth to name a few.
